What We Do
Every year, HankStrong (aka Hope for Hank) orchestrates multiple fundraising events to aid in the research, education, and awareness of Alpers-Huttenlocher syndrome, along with all other mitochondrial diseases. These events are organized and supported by volunteers and donations of all kinds, with the goal of providing the community with fun, family-friendly activities. We are continually overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our sponsors and donors, please check out some of our past events and supporters below. 2020 GOLF scramble
Our second golf scramble took place in September, 2020 at the Wooded View Golf Course in Clarksville, Indiana. Orginally planned as the "Second Annual HankStrong Scramble," this became the first "HankStrong Legacy Scramble" after we said goodbye to our sweet boy just weeks before in August. Following such a difficult time, there was no doubt that we must keep Hank's name alive and continue fighting for a cure!

2019 GOLF scramble & Auction
Our first golf scramble took place in September, 2019 at the Wooded View Golf Course in Clarksville, Indiana. The day started early with a tremendous show of support, the golf course filled with individuals and teams there to take their chance at a hole-in-one Jeep prize. Following the scramble, we held a BBQ lunch at the Endris Lodge in Lapping Memorial Park along with a silent auction and games.

KYE'S II BENEFIT
Our very first HankStrong fundraiser, just a few short months after Hank's diagnosis in 2018, held at Kye's II in Jeffersonville, Indiana. At such a difficult time, the community amazed us with such an incredible outpouring of generosity, support, love, and prayers. With the help of volunteers, donations, and everyone who was able to join us, our first event went far better than expected.
